Solid example, I really like all aspects of this one. Hearty aroma of sweet malts, smells like fresh buttered biscuits and toffee. A touch green with a mellow hop nose in the background. Rich copper pour bordering on amber. Thick, fluffy tan head and good lacing. A steady amount of carbonation is ever present. Medium bodied and fairly malty, no major bitterness. Seems very well balanced and is easy to drink. Rich flavor of honey, toast, caramel, and mixed berries. A touch grassy and slightly dry. Fantastic beer for this setting. Very under rated IMHO! Rynoplasty (544), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Aroma is pale malts with a little bit of caramel malt sweetness. Taste is mainly pale malts but with some caramel malt and sweetness in it as well. Not bad. rampmaster (322), Alden, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: It had a small creamy light tan head over a deep amber colored body with good clarity. The head fades quickly but hangs on till the last slip and make for some slick lacing on the way down the mug.
Smell: The aroma is sweet, candy like, with caramel notes and hint of bubble gum, toasted malt and mild hops.
Taste/Mouth feel: It has a sweet caramel toasted and bready malt with some light buttery and nutty notes. Hop flavor is mild and adds some spice and mild bitterness as well as a slight metallic touch. It has an easy drinking medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. The finish is sweet and clean.
Notes: Overall it’s a very drinkable tasty Oktoberfest.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Pours a medium dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is a pleasant spicey maltiness with some light caramel herbal scents. Tasty sweet caramel start. The attempt at a hop bitterness is lost in a bland herbal finish though. Still not a bad Oktoberfest. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
