Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Bottle, 355ml - Amber clear beer with a disappearing light brown head. Aroma is malty and slightly oktoberfest like, with hints of berries and hops. Flavor is again malty and slightly sour, almost vinous. Not very oktoberfest like in this aspect though. Feels like an attempt to combine oktoberfest and american style beer.

12 oz bottle, shortly followed up by a 110oz tower draft at a neighborhood bar. Full flavored oktfst brew, easy drinking and respectable alcohol content. Rather bready, some molasses and basic malt undertones. Above average.

Sweet malt aromas and some sweet fruit esters and some wet cardboard? The appearance is a dark colored amber body w/ a quick dieing wispy white head, that hades into a tiny collar. The flavor is very dark roasted malt bodies, with some molasses like flavor, no real hop prescence. Nice moderate effervescence, very smooth. Nice session.

12 ounce bottle, pours copper with a thick off white head. Easy to drink. Flavor is malty and sweet. Not as much spice as I would think. Average Oktoberfest.

12 oz. bottle pours a bright copper penny in color with dense head . Aroma is yeasty with sweet grasses. Front palate of hay and warm leather, with malty middle and finish of hops. Not overpowering, easy to drink. Could be a nice fall session beer. Would pair well with homemade beef stew, pot roast or chicken and dumplings.

12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. Strawberry orange pour with a large head and decent retention. Bready aroma with some grassiness. Taste is very bready as well, with notes of caramel, stone fruits and light hay. Full bodied.

Pours a dark mahogany with a yeasty, off-white head. Flavor is malty and sweet, with hints of caramel and honey. Slight hint of hoppiness as well, moreso than most Oktoberfest beers - not a surprise coming from Brooklyn. Alcohole is evident too, which surprised me a bit.

light copper colour, small off white head. bready aroma. flavour malt. A big disappointment, I usually really like the beers that brooklyn produce, this is the one from them that I’ve liked the least.
