Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

From a bottle. Amber beer with a light tan head. Head persists for several minutes and leaves lacing on the glass. Mild aroma of malt with some hops. Flavor is sweet malt with a nice hops bite towards the midde and end. Finishes with a nice dry flavor. Sweet, but not as cloyingly sweet as some Oktoberfest brews. Very tasty.

Pours out amber with a small head. Aroma is of malt and slight hop. Taste is malty and bready and maybe a little hop hanging in there, but overall pretty run of the mill Oktober.

Bottle. I rather enjoyed this beer. Poured a clear amber/orange color with a thin off white head. Aroma of bread and malt. Flavor of caramel malt and a grassy hop finish.

Malty caramel and a bit of sweet preserved fruit on aroma. Average mouthfeel but not a lot of flavour. Ends with some hops and sourness which picks things up nicely.

355 ml bottle from Systembolaget, thanks to delft! BB Aug 2009. On September 19, 2008. Clear copper color, tan to orange head. Sweet, malty, butter and resin with solvents scent, mainly butter. Malty, grainy taste. Dry grainy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.

bottle pours orange, red, mahagony, with offwhite head and loads of lacing. nose is distinctly wet dog. there is also notes of bread, and some grassy hop aromas. taste is bready, with a dry hoppy finish. well balanced, and quite drinkable but not incredibly interesting. really carbonated as well.

Bottled. Dark amber colour with rich tempting head. Very bready, malty aroma. Seems very true to the style. Flavour is bready and biscuity, and it seems to be pretty attenuated. There’s a dry feeling in the end. I suppose the munich malts left some residual sugars here. I find it to be very close to the style, but not as yummy as the best German examples.

Smells very sweet and malty. Taste is very malty with a plastic caramel taste to it. Not bad, but there are better out there.
