| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 16, 2008 bottle i assume is from last year by way of machfive55. it pours a medium brown with coppery hues and a soft light tan head. aromas of sweet cereal grains, wood, grass and earthy spice. the flavor leans on sweetened toasty grain, mild spice and grass with a bitter dry finish. that bitterness lingers a while in the aftertaste. medium body with an average mouth feel... brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA

This was my favorite so far this year. Chestnut/amber color pour with a frothy small off white head. Initially a fairly sweet and malty aroma and it becomes even more so as it warms. A bit fruity with spice, cinnamon and molasses. This is by far the maltiest Oktoberfest I’ve had. It’s got molasses, grain, malt, and a touch of spicy/earthiness (that I suppose is hop related). Very enjoyable. Full bodied with a slightly dry finish. Get some! GMUcrew7 (360), Mason, Ohio, USA

Crisp malty aroma. Flavor is a little light, sweet malt, with some biscuit and some grassy hops that come off a little metallic. The body is crisp, but a little too carbonated and light. Overall a refreshing, but somewhat disappointing beer for an Oktoberfest. rman18 (201), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA

It has a good palate and just OK malt flavor. Strong caramel/toffee flavor. The best part about this beer is the aroma. Good to try but its just average. ekstedt (2440), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Bottle (35 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber, medium short head. Bready and biscuity aroma with spicy hops. Slightly over-carbonated. Dry and crisp finish. Quite refreshing but not a typical Oktoberfestbier. ante (2951), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Bottled. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a fluffy disappearing off-white foam. Nutty and caramely aroma with sharp metallic and vegetal undertones. Malty flavour of nuts, caramel, biscuit, metal and toasted malts. Quite dry finish of toasted malts and spicy hops. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Poured from the bottle an amber color with a nice tan head. The aroma was spicy and malty with some bread like characteristics. On taste it instantly hits you as a sweet beer. It seems a bit light in body for what the aroma was. A lot of malt flavors in the body and it finished slick. I don’t this is an Oktoberfest I would hunt down again, though it wasn’t bad and I wouldn’t turn it down if offered.
