Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Poured a dark reddish orange with a foamy white head. Has hints of malt, floral, some hops, and spices. Finished bland on the palate. Carbonation is a little weak, and alcohol is prevalent.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep orange-ruby with an average size somewhat-lasting off-white head. Aroma: Hmmm, that’s a bit weird, along with the sweet malt, faint floral hops and fruit I’m getting a hint of tomato juice...not crazy about that. Flavour of caramel malt, some mild toastiness, a hint of fruit and a mild bitter finish -- meh. Average bodied. Just O.K., my least favourite Brooklyn beer I’ve had.

clear amber pour with a small tan head...yeast and malt aroma....carbonated cardboard hop taste... slight cellar/musty taste....not very impressed...not a big fan of the style, but I’m trying several marzens and they all are very similiar

12 Oz Bottle. Aroma a gentle, crisp autumn leaf and butterscotch sugar. Light, malty and calm. Pours a coppery amber, with a subdued tinted head. Flavor is a rather predictable middle malt, with a bite of rye bread, candied almonds and a light tart lemon note. Fruity character subdued, musky grain pops up. Clean, which is appreciated. There’s gentle lemony hoppiness, but not nearly the rich, gummy character I was hoping for. Clean, but a bit bland.

Bottle. Sweet corn grain aroma. Dark amber with large head. Molasses, barley malt and moderate hops flavor. Pretty high hops for the style.

Definite bready aroma, malts, caramel. A little earthy. Appearance is a nice amber color, true to the style. The flavor is fruity, bready, caramel. Medium mouthfeel, a little on the thick side. Relatively hoppy for the style, hop bitterness on finish. Decent overall.

Really good fall beer. Bready aroma with a lot of malt. Good clean dry finish. Very nice for a crisp autumn night.
