Aromas are sweet: caramel and apple juice concentrate. Has the flavor of scalded apple juice. Nicely blended, but kind of bland and a little on the thin side. Still, it is a nice, moderately interesting version, and is better than most. Did I pick up some cherry flavors? skibumphishead (180), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2007 6 pack of 12oz bottles after dinner at the Eastside grill in the hamp. Pour is amber and the head is thin like a soda. The first sip is cold and spicy. The nutty malt balances the pumpkin pie-like spices. Not an amazing beer, but it might be the best that I have had of this style. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear, rich copper with a bit of head. Aroma is a bit indistinct. Taste follows - fairly indistinct. Some malts, not a lot of hops. Nothing standing out in this one to make me want to buy it again. Yawn.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 30, 2007 This is an okay Oktoberfest with a decent dark malty head and some fruit to it. It needs something extra to stand out. I had it on tap at River St. Ale house, Pittston, PA. Ritterkreuz (179), Seneca Falls, New York, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours bright amber orangewith beige head. The aroma is very malty, dominated by caramel and flour; there’s even a hint of rye in there. The flavor is also quite malty, but not so much as the nose. Burnt sugar and leaves are the dominant notes. Some fruity notes come out in the middle, then comes a very, very toasty finish. Clean aftertaste. garrison (456), Cin. city, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2007 Fro9m a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Keller’s IGA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one pours a distinctly dark amber brew with a malty-doughy aroma and a tall white head of foam. Tastewise, the hops and the carmelized malts blend scrumpciously, and this is a good beer!
