Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Growler. Clear amber pour with lively carbonation and a small offwhite head. Aroma is toasty malt, caramel, subtle grain, and some spice. Flavor is mostly malt oriented with toasty and caramel varieties, complemented by a light roast and bready quality. Palate is medium with a nice effervescence and a supple, clean finish.

aroma of roasted malts.. not too overpowering... good flavors but a mild tasting oktoberfest (not a bad thing) very lively carbonation with good citrus flavors mixed with bready flavor. Refreshing beer.

bottle: I liked this beer and I think its pretty much in style. Citrus, nice caramel malts. sweet, but not over the top and with a nice hops finish. This is definitely thirst-quenching, I wish I had bought a couple more.

Bottle. Pours a nutty brown color that is transparent with a small off white head. Nose is light caramel syrup, some hints of nuts and a light doughiness. Palate is thin and filmy, with a light crisp finish. Flavors of light caramel, syrup and toasted nuts. Simple, decent, drinkable.

Pours a bright orange with good clarity, plenty of bubbles. and a fluffy medium head. Aroma is fairly faint but displays some malty fruitiness and some light roasty and grainy characteristics. The flavor is very good, herbally bitter with a very mild nuttiness and some nice fruity notes.

Sample at October 16, 2009 Beer Club Meeting. Dark, subdued color. Thin head. Sweet aroma. Flavor malty and... almost like there’s vanilla in there. Lively mouthfeel. It’s okay, but doesn’t live up to my expectations, being from Brooklyn. Leaves my tongue a little numb. Can’t be the ABV.

12 oz bottle from a party guest. Pours a lovely essence-of-autumn auburn brown with white head. Nose is bread, some malt, lager, and mild sweetness and bitterness. Flavor is bread, bitterness, and lager. Overall not bad for an Oktoberfest, but not something I would drink daily.
