Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Pours a medium copper with a head that lasts throughout. This is better than I remember. It has a good German malt profile, but I think it could be a might bit bigger. Very low hops with a mild bitterness at the end. If they would pump this one up a little more it could compete with the big boys, but it’s a little too mild for me.

Quite the average tasting Marzen, with the rich tasting malts and mild hop count. bit of caramel tasting. Also has a slight nutty taste.

The aroma is true to the style with biscuit and caramel malts dominating the hops. The appearance is copper with a nice head. The flavor is not complex but good and just like the aroma. The palate is typical for the style. Overall this is pretty good.

Bottle. Gorgeous deep orange-red copper pour, with a nice fluffy white head. Simple hoppy aroma. Flavor is all malts and some slight caramel. Watery and smooth. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Reddish. Decent head. Beery aroma. Slight bitterness. Just a regular beer, nothing worthwhile.

Beer pours deep amber with a medium head. It has notes of malt and yeast which then roll into a malty spiced finish. Drinks well.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Clear amber color with dense flat head. Faint caramel and yeast aroma. Very nice caramel flavor with slight tobacco and fruit hints. Clean finish. Medium body. Nice example of a style that is not one of my faves.
