Not a lot going on and quite poor compared to the standard Brooklyn lager but noticeably better than the Hofbrau Oktoberfest I had earlier on. dogfishho (172), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Oct 2, 2006 Pours an orangey-amber color with a creamy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma was thin, but sweet with a malty predominance that was intriguing. Flavor featured notes of caramel and nice roastiness to go along with the sweet malt, but the brew had a short finish which was dissapointing as I like the flavor a lot. Overall, I liked this one a lot even though it had something lacking on the end. 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Your typical run of the mill marzen. These beers seem to always look and taste the same. No point reiterating the previous 200 rating of this brew. bennysmom (6), Lansing, Michigan, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Nice octoberfest, not overly carmelized, but malty noneless - could have used a bit more hop at the finish tobalance the malt Silphium (2137), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 29, 2006 Clear orange-brown body, thin off-white head. Aroma of sweetened breads and toast. Strongly carbonated body with caramel and toast, thin, sugary, bitter grassy hops finish. A pleasant sip but lacks character. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 27, 2006 Bottle at The rake, London. Clear, deep red amber colour, small head. Nutty caramel nose. Flavours are sweet with nuts, raisins and caramel. Rather light-bodied, fizzy. Rather bland for a Brooklyn beer. DrBayern (1136), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 26, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Clear reddish amber , medium off white head that settles quickly. Roasty, grainy aroma. Medium body, light carbonation. Sweetnes imparted by some nice roasted grains giving hints of caramel and toffee. Just enough bitterness comes on to prevent a sticky sweetness. Very lightly hopped, appropriate for the style. Easy drinking makes for a nice session beer.
