A malty and bready aroma. An orangish/brown apperance with nice head and good lacing on the glass. The flavor was fairly dry with some citrus fruit mainly orange peel and more bread showing through. A nice one. jasonp (1514), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 23, 2005 Dark clear red with a medium white head. Nice aroma of kilned malts, bread and noble hops. Flavor has notes of caramel, grain, toasted malt, euro hops and a touch of grass then ends a bit on the bland side. Moderate sweetness, moderate hop bitterness. The body is medium and creamy with lively carbonation. No lacing or head retention really. Solid, but I think Brooklyn can do better. Pernille (518), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 21, 2005 35,5 cl bottle. No yeast in bottom. Reddish brown colour with a weak lance head. Aroma of malt. Very smooth flavour of malt and some hops. Not much bitter and dry. But overall a very easydrinking beer. This beer is little away from German style. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2005 Nose nothing special. Appearance best part of the beer for me. Dark golden copper color, small off white head, leaving good lacing. Taste not quite what I expected. Sweetish without being sweet, a touch of malt, a touch of hops, not much there. Mouthfeel is dry and chalky. Finish is ... well ... I don’t know. Licorice? Clove? Something I did not expect to find in a Marzen. Despite their description, a bit more hops would not have hurt. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 20, 2005 (on bottle) Not exatcly to style, huh? Amber, clear colour and a disapearing white head. More carameld than light toast and most def. not with a high drinkability; too hard roasted and bitter/burned finish. braudimusprime (75), Boston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Pretty red color with sweet, bready aroma. Taste is largely yeast and malt with minimal hops. Somewhat watery too. Pleasant but maybe not up with Brooklyn’s best stuff.
