Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Shared by Akevitt. Orange color. Little carbonation. Light malt flavor and standard lager aroma. Some bread flavor as well. Too light, even for the style.

RateBeer Rating, Style and Glass: 52, Oktoberfest/Marzen, lager glass. ABV, Volume & Calories: 5.5 % in 12 fl oz. estimated at 150 C Purchased at: Canal’s Lawrenceville, NJ for $1.33 as part of a pre-six-mix Aroma: average - smells like your basic lager. 7 out of 10. Visuals: deep, brilliant, copper color, white head, rocky, staying, long lacing. 5 out of 5. Taste: not watery, but mostly malt, and smooth, well done, not impressive. 5 out of 10. Palate: weaker, slick, okay finish. 3 out of 5. Overall: Better than bud, but not great. I’d not go out of my way for it again. 15 out of 20.

12oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pours dark amber with a quickly diminishing off-white head. Lots of caramel and biscuit on the nose. Very malty with some spicy hops to balance. Much more body than a standard fest beer. Not quite true to style, a little over the top, but still very good.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear brownish/gold with a small disappearing off white head. Strong malts in the nose with a hint of hopiness. Malts in the taste. Medium body with fairly fizzy carbonation.

Poured a reddish brown with a smaller white head. Aroma was not very strong, but mostly of spices and malts. Taste was good with plenty of spice. Cinnamon, oranges, nuts, and grain were all present. Finish was smooth.
