Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Golden body with minimal head. Aroma is citrusy and floral. A tad flat with a slight bitterness to the finish.

Bottle - nice, sweet and spicy aroma. Fairly standard pilsner appearance. Flavor is grainy sweetness with a slight bitterness in the finish. A fairly good example, but far from my favorite style.

Bottle. Sweet corn syrup malt aroma - smells like the wort before fermentation. Golden yellow with moderate head and lacing. Sweet-sour barley malt flavor with moderate hops finish. Okay but I’m not a big fan of the grainy sweetness.

Rapidly becoming my favorite pilsener. Pale color with a very creamy head. Seems to have more of a crispy hop presence in the taste and a refreshingly bitter aftertaste. Definitely hoppier than most pilseners I’ve tasted. Very fresh and I appreciate that the brewery provides freshness dating on its bottles. Unfortunately, not yet marketed in NH.

I need a beer as I watch my GW team get slaughtered in the NCAAs, why not this one. This pours with a deep golden color and one of the most effervescent bodies I’ve seen in a while, rising into a nice firm white head. The aroma is definitely restrained, slightly malty, but also hinting at a little hoppiness. This drinks very well, rich and malty yet with a nice Teutonic hop bite. Excellent Pilsner.
