Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

(Bottle at The Rover, Göteborg) Sweet almost sugary scent. Shady straw yellow color, lasting white creamy head. Sweet malty taste, rather full taste though. Medium mouthfeel and co2. Low to medium bitterness. Nice malty aftertaste, to the sweet side.

Poured out a murky yellow. Formed a large white foam head. Somewhat cloudy, interesting for a pils. Aroma of the usual, hops, flowers, wet forrest. Well, the taste is somewhat unique for a pils, IMO.Taste of crip hops, a tad bitter at the end. Almost a slight taste of pepper. Interesting pilsner, considering Im not a huge fan of it. These Brookly Brewery beers are impressive, this one is however, just a bit above ordinary. Not too terribly extrodinary.

Light grainy pils malt aroma with noble hops possibly some noble clone hops, light gold to straw color very clear.Flavor is crisp and bitter. Most flavor is from hops with slight malt pilsne background.

This was my least favourite of all of the Brooklyn beers that I have tried so far. It seems to be rather happy and doesn’t really go down as smoothly as I would prefer a pilsner to go fown. It is definately a well made beer, but not one that piques my interest.

Sampled at Real Beer Expo (Rochester). Light golden, sl. haze and a light white head. Some floral hops on the nose. A bit unbalanced. Back of the throat hops attack and finish. A bit grainy/cereal. Med.-full carbonation and med. mouthfeel.
