Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

A very light beer and one of the better light beers I’ve had. Golden colour but not much head. Hoppy flavor that was very refreshing. A very drinkable pilsner.

Golden yellow in color with a thick white head. Grainy in smell and flavor. Nice balancing bitterness. Could use a little more bitterness though for a pilsner. Not at all bad though.

Cloudy golden pour with surprisingly little aroma for a true pilsner. This is certainly very bitter but otherwise skunky. Maybe I got a bad bottle...it’s a drain pour.

Aroma of lemon and honey. Color is golden with a white head with some delicate lacing. Crisp bright flavor with faint bitterness.

Bottle: pint glass: Pours a light golden/ yellow, high bubble count settling into 1 finger of white head. The aroma is clearly of hops, also some citrus, maybe florals. The taste is immediately dry yet complex... the hops come to the front, nice deep taste though... followed my a sugary yeast, all washed away by the medium to hig hcarbonation. Nice brew, very refreshing.

Overall Impression: Pretty decent pils, crisp, clean, refreshing. Not overly interesting or exciting, but solid none the less.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The bottle has a best before date. Appearance: The body has a bright golden color with very good clarity and some nice streams of fine carbonation rushing to the head. The head builds up tall and fluffy. It is bright white in color, has good retention and makes some lacing on the glass. Smell: Its aroma has a light biscuity malt presence with some floral hops. Taste/Mouth Feel: The flavor is very clean, crisp and very well balanced. A subtle biscuity malt mixes with a mild floral and almost fruity hops. The hops bring a pleasant bitterness and dry crispness to the finish. It has a smooth light texture with just enough carbonation to match its light to medium body. Notes: This is a very clean and highly drinkable Pilsner and it is great on a hot summer day.

Aroma is noble hops, grass, flowers, bread. The appearance is very true to the style, straw yellow, tinge of orange, white head, lots of carbonation bubbles. The flavor is crisp, floral hops, grass, malts, bread dough. Surprisingly good. The finish is dry, lingering pilsener hops. Medium mouthfeel, a little creamy, unusual for a pils. This is not my favorite style, but Brooklyn has done a decent job here.
