The aroma was grainy, lots of finishing hop aromas, a bit of some atypical varieties, US? Flavor was grainy, some biscuits, light pine and citrus hops flavors and a definite bittering hop presence. Mouthfeel was moderate and carbonated. I kinda liked this one, despite being a bit different take on the style. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Bottle. Clear to slightly hazy golden color with quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of light malt, lemony hops and honeysuckle with a trace of sweaty yeast. Flavor basically grassy malt and light hops. A bit of hop bitterness on the finish. Decent, but no reason for excitement. TomDecapolis (3209), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma of sweet pilsner malts, grass, lemon and some various fruits and hops presense. Flavor of honey, more sweet malts, basically what you would expect from a Pilsner. Not one of the best, but surely not a bad Pilsner either. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 18, 2006 Pale translucent gold/yella, with faint white head. Aroma like pretzel dough, only sweeter. Pleasant, fresh, natural aroma. Very fine flavor. Good bready, honeyed, lightly fruity maltiness, in a nice balance with hops. Brooklyn’s lighter beers seem to be the best of the widely available lighter beers in my area - very very nice. underrated. By style this is a very nice pilsener for something commercially available and would make a great session beer that all your friends, beer snobs or not, could easily enjoy and appreciate as a notch above their usual stuff. Vegetable like character with a long and lingering bitterness on the palate. radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
