Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Golden straw color out of the bottle with a whispy white head and a light citrus nose. Strong bready malts with lemon/lime citrus flavors. Lingering hop bitterness that was mostly lime and grass. Nice pilsner.

Pours a honey color wth a small white head. Grassy aroma. Citrusy on the front end with a nice hop bite on the finish. Not bad at all.

Yellow, just a bit hazy. Small head with big bubbles fades quickly. Spicy, pugnent german hops aroma. Beer feels too thick for a pilsner, too much body. Its smooth though, a little bit piney but lacks flavor overall. Its ok, but boring. Can’t see myself buying this again.

Bottle. Pours pale golden with an off-white head. Sweetish hoppy aroma. Nice, but has a touch of the old hops cheesy smell. Not so much that it matters, really. Flavour is hoppy, slightly crispy. Medium bitter finish. Could do with a bit more body, but overall a decent beer. 10-02-06.

nice taste for a darker beer - leaves no after taste. Creates a nice head. Really a quite smooth beer

Clear golden amber color with a medium thin white head that lasts almost the entire glass. Thin patches of lacing. Aroma of fresh hops and citrus with a little sweet honey. Light-bodied and bubbly with grassy hops and some malt flavoring. The finish is short and fairly bitter but ultimately a little watery. Slightly above average all around.

Looked like a Pils but more opaque then the usual. Thick foamy head. A hops scent that I started sensing in all Brooklyn beers. Grainy taste with some hops, but it is a pils and I am not a big fan.

A little disappointing because it didn’t taste like a Pilsner at all, but rather like an ale. As an ale it had a good nice citrus-malt aroma and a nice bitter finish.
