Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Poured with a light foamy head that slowly reduces to a light cover with some nice lace and a very light almost hazy light yellow. Nose had a number of things, sweetness and a bit of hop, grains and cereals, some maltiness, a "beerishness", and something a little off. The taste was similar, but picked up more of an off flavor. Not bad, not good. Wouldn’t order it. Got this in a beer a the month shipment.

Fruity, floral hop aroma, grainy malt, a bit of lager yeast sulphur (not rotten eggs, more like a struck match). Clear golden color, thin white head. Flavor is malty at first, a bit of butteriness, then a nice fruity hop flavor, with a dry bitter hop finish. Medium body with medium carbonation. I have a love-hate relationship with pilsners - I love the good, hate the bad - and there are plenty examples of both. This one definitely falls on the good side.

Ooh, very hoppy, and dry finish, like a pale ale. But more grainy malt, a little sweetness. This lacks the richness and full flavour of a German pilsener, but this beer does have a lot of character and some complexity. It is very pleasant and refreshing too: good texture of the carbonation, and absolutely no unpleasant tones in the flavour. Overall an excellent beer: I will certainly get this one again.

Clean fresh herbal hops and bright cereal grains meet the nose. Clear golden body is topped by low white head that recedes to partial cover. Pleasant grainy malt flavour with grassy, herbal hops and fair finishing bitterness. Medium-light body with lively, crisp carbonation. Bottle sampled at a bar in Copenhagen around the corner from Øl Baren.

Bottle. Golden with small, lasting head. Clean flavored with delicate malt (fresh barley-like) backbone and an emphasis on the hops, grassy with long bitter finish. Medium body and soft, smooth mouthfeel. Nice.

$1.49 for a 12-oz single (bottle). Golden with a small white head. Smells of sweet grasses. Flavor starts grassy, ends up malty, and finishes coppery. Not bad overall, but boring. Definitely has a bitter end.

Jax Beer and Wine - Atlanta, Ga. - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling, light to medium goldne with a thin, tight, persistent head. Sweet, biscuity, cakemix like aroma. Flavor is a tad spicy, with some club soda-like dryness. Hallertauer, bitter hoppiness is prevalent and the mouthfeel is very crisp. Overall, a decent pils, quite refreshing.

Aroma of malt and wheat? Golden amber, pours a small firm white head, maintained with plenty of carbonation, some nice lace. Malt and hops taste, seems spicey too? Light bodied, an almost chewy body, spicey bitterness. This beer seems more like a wit or a hefe weisse?
