Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

08.12.05 12oz bottle. I’ve had this numerous times and it’s totally inconsistent, so I’m considering it accordingly. Dull, pale golden with small white head and stringy lace. Aroma is crackers and honey with some dry straw. Flavor lackluster, cereal malts, barely a hint of hops (spring grass). Not Brooklyn’s best effort.

Pours golden with small white head. Pleasant acidic fresh flowery aroma. Very hoppy and dry finish. A good effort at a pilsener.

Draft. Clear gold yellow pour. Light malt aroma, kinda weak, no hops, kinda bland. Light malty flavors, clean, and slightly spicy hop finish. Bland and boring to me.

[draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Hazy yellow-gold pour with a creamy white head. Very odd aroma. It kind of smelled like sweaty armpit through a new shirt that still had remnants of deodorant. Not very pleasant. The taste wasn’t as bad. Slight taste of floral hops with a bitter yeast and malt finish. Other than the aroma, it wasn’t terrible.

A slight floral aroma, with a good golden color. appearance. Fllavor was somewhat bitter with a moderate head with some lacing left over after tasting. Good carbonation somewhat fizzy, overall a good lager. Excellent beer to finnish a hot summer day with.
