Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Draft. Clear gold yellow pour. Light malt aroma, kinda weak, no hops, kinda bland. Light malty flavors, clean, and slightly spicy hop finish. Bland and boring to me.

[draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Hazy yellow-gold pour with a creamy white head. Very odd aroma. It kind of smelled like sweaty armpit through a new shirt that still had remnants of deodorant. Not very pleasant. The taste wasn’t as bad. Slight taste of floral hops with a bitter yeast and malt finish. Other than the aroma, it wasn’t terrible.

A slight floral aroma, with a good golden color. appearance. Fllavor was somewhat bitter with a moderate head with some lacing left over after tasting. Good carbonation somewhat fizzy, overall a good lager. Excellent beer to finnish a hot summer day with.

Bottle. Beautiful golden color but the head settles quickly to a thin, white layer. Very refreshing. Mild bitterness and a perfect balance. Palte is a little bitter. All in all, actually an interesting pilsner.
