Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

One of the better U.S. pilseners I have had the privelige of sampling. Had all the hallmarks of a great one, clear effervesence, bubbly, good value, makes one feel pretty good! Taste is the only detraction, I did not feel the crisp refreshing aftertaste I usually get with pilseners, flavor kind of stuck around a little too long - a little thick.

Bottle Citrus and ginger aromanotes on spongy malt. Deep golden, low creamy head, low on visible carbonation. Citric and slightly herbal hop notes - an american hop profile with german hops. Doughy malt, aftertaste slightly dusty. Feels fat on the lounge but is too light towards the back. Somewhere along the way the elegant simplicity of the pilsner got lost.

Pours a nice straw color. Aroma is very neutral and blah. Taste is light and refreshing---a little bit soapy. I had much better

Rich golden in the glass. Robust aromas of grains and some mustiness. Light and drinkable, with a slightly sour finish. Lots of barley and grains on the taste and an alcoholic presence. A drinkable pils with some assertive flavors.

Rerate Fresh bottle. Pale golden with a white head. The aroma is really fresh. Lemony citrus, resiny/floral hoppiness. Very bracing and crisp. The malts are light and crackery. It doesn’t really come across with that zesty character that stuff from Victory has, but it has a lot more character than I gave it credit for the first time around. Firm bitterness and a very pleasant pilsener.

12 oz bottle. Pale golden, white head. Aroma is grassy with a touch of citrus as well. Pale malt character with a decent bitterness rounding it off. Resiny/grassy hop finish. Not bad. 6 3 6 3 12

Bottled. Clear yellow coloured with a white head. Nice hoppy aroma with notes of malts and citrus. Malty flavour with notes of citrus and hops. Dry bitter finish. Not bad, but I prefer Brooklyn lager.

Bottled: Golden coloured. Clear. Dense white head. Aroma of some hops and a light sweetness. A little vague. Flavour is malty and fruity with some floral notes. Ends on a light bitterness.

Bottle. White head with good retention on a golden lager. Acidic aroma at first but quickly replaced by some light hoppiness. The flavor is well-balanced but rather one-dimensional with some resiny hops dominating. Standard lager mouth feel, but with subdued Co2 making smoother that many other lagers. Far from the other excellent Brooklyn beers.
