Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Bottled. Clear yellow coloured with a white head. Nice hoppy aroma with notes of malts and citrus. Malty flavour with notes of citrus and hops. Dry bitter finish. Not bad, but I prefer Brooklyn lager.

Bottled: Golden coloured. Clear. Dense white head. Aroma of some hops and a light sweetness. A little vague. Flavour is malty and fruity with some floral notes. Ends on a light bitterness.

Bottle. White head with good retention on a golden lager. Acidic aroma at first but quickly replaced by some light hoppiness. The flavor is well-balanced but rather one-dimensional with some resiny hops dominating. Standard lager mouth feel, but with subdued Co2 making smoother that many other lagers. Far from the other excellent Brooklyn beers.

(Bottled) Clear yellow-golden color with a small, lacy head. Grassy, saaz-hoppy, very clean and quite crisp aroma. Slightly metallic and buttery, sharply hoppy flavor. Medium-bodied palate with well-balanced carbonation. A very decent try for a German pils.

Golden pour with malty, wheaty aroma. This pils is more fruity than spicy, with a clean bitter snap in the finish. As a bonus, since it ships from New York in a brown bottle, it may be fresher than a Euro pils in a green bottle at your local establishment. A solid, summery golden beer.
