Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

I had this at a beer tasting with the Brooklyn Breweries head brew master, and they gave us several of the different styles that they brew, along with this one and then they gave us budwieser as the control beer to clean the palate with. Very crisp and refreshing, nice acidity to it as well as bitter notes, golden amber color with a thin white head that left a nice lacing around the glass.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Golden beer with a big, creamy head that sticks to the glass. Very fresh and aromatic from the two German aroma-hops which also leaves a considerable bitterness. But first and foremost this beer is soft, soft, soft.

Beautiful deep blond color. An ordinary Pilsner, without the necessary hop character, a bit papery. Quite high metallic bitterness.

Golden coloured with small head. Rather weak aroma with grassy notes. Quite thin body. Not much flavour. Some crispness.

Pale, straw gold body with little head and nice lacing. Aroma is grassy and bitter. Flavor is a bit lemony, some herbal hops, and a bit of spiciness. Finishes dry.
