Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

On tap at Summits Wayside Tavern...Nice floral aroma to this one...NIce and light but not at all simple in fact it is quite complex for a pilsner..Good hoppy finish...If you get the chance definitely check this one out a time or two...maybe three

Brooklyn serves up a classic pilsner here. Golden hazy appearance, sweet corn aroma, and a vegatable taste. Light in alcohol, mild hops, make a fine session beer.

I really liked this breweries lager and IPA so I figured I’d give this one a try. Nice pour... clear golden color and a surprisingly lasting head. Aroma is that of a pils, go figure. Fresh taste, with floral notes and a bit of sweetness. Not bad for a pilsner.. but it’s still a pilsner. Good for yard work. Not bad.

Mighty props to Sancho for this easy drinker. Work perfectly on a hot Houston day watching the Astros slowly overcome the Cubs in the wild-card race. Pour nice and light, golden-yellow. A bit of a honey nose and bite...but not much. Very crisp and with a light body. Solic pilsner.

I like this beer, for the style. Brooklyn hardly ever disappoints. Had kind of a frothy head, and a slightly roasted wheat flavor blended into the normal beer-ish pilsenery taste. Not bad.

Appearance: light, clear, golden color, with a short, bright white head. Aroma: honey notes greet me right off, a bit hoppy, but sweet, then drying out, a classic international pilsner-style nose, the very copy of so many I’ve sampled from the continent. Taste: brisk, crisp, clean, dry, but still with that honeyish sweetness. A light, near-perfect pilsner lager. What that’s what you want, this is it. Light body, tiny texture, swift finish, but then I’m repeating myself, for that’s the style and it fits it perfectly, does it’s job extremely well.

These guys are very good at churning out mundane after average brew. I am sure thay are not complaing as they seem to be growing all of the time. Where is the big beer series I have been hearing about for so long? This pilsener isn’t any different that Rheingold except it has a slightly lighter taste. In fact, I’d rather drink a Rheingold.

A very pleasing and easy to drink pils. Nice pale malt flavors here with a good but not overbearing hop presence lending some herbal and woody notes to the brew. Nice drying effect in the finish. A great quencher of a brew.
