Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

This was an excellent brew! The flavors will dance and sing on your palate. Nice and bitter but with a after taste of flowers. very very tasty.

355 mL. Pours a clear darkish yellow with a two-finger fluffy white head that dissipates to a thin layer but leaving some good lacework. Aromas of honey, rye bread, some orange peel, and flowers. Taste is watery with a weak bite of Czech hops but is mostly sweet malt with some herbs tossed in. Not really a pilsner to the taste. Disappointing.

Bottled. Pale-ish, mostly filtered pour, not much of a head. Aroma is mildly skunky, lots of bread/pumpernickel, some czech hops, mint. A malty, sprucey bitterness is presentin the flavor, muddled by an overly sweet body (for the style) and lack of proper carbonation. Definitely too much non-pils malt in this one, Not very close to style.

A nice beer here. Lovely golden color. Widely available in the Northeast US. Floral nose and fruity taste. The nice medium body makes this a great sippin’ brew.

12oz bottle. Clear dull gold color with a fine white fuzz head. Sweetly floral nose lightly fruity grain and some spicy hops. Flavors are lightly sweet and floral with nice saltine cracker malt base and bunches of spicy nobles. Light medium body with fresh carbonation.

Pours a classic straw with a white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of cloves, sulfur, biscuits, and some fruity esters. Light body. Not much in the taste department. Thin, grainy, with some spice and short bitterness. Lacking the complexity of the better known pilseners.

Bottle. Another pils that I will not be trying again. Gold pour, white head. Aroma is malty, grainy and some hops. In all reality this is better than most Amercian pils...but I just don’t like the style. Flavor is malty and grainy with a half decent hit of hops.
