Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

A beautiful orange beer with a small head. The aroma is powerful; sweet and hoppy - really nice. The flavor disappoints a bit after the aroma - it's sweet with notes of orange and then turns slightly bitter - nice hops - but not enough bitterness. Even for the lack of balance - I think it's the best pilsener I've ever had.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Golden beer with a big, creamy head that sticks to the glass. Very fresh and aromatic from the two German aroma-hops which also leaves a considerable bitterness. But first and foremost this beer is soft, soft, soft.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm Clear golden, rich firm head. Concebtrated hay aroma. Medium dry with clean, dense mouthfeel. Beside the dense malt it’s dominated by hay-like hops. Lingering very bitter finish. A near perfect pilsener. Perhaps it’s greatest problems lies in it’s flawlessness. With it’s perfect laquer and perfection is every sense it might lack the charm that renders the character to the pilseners I like te very most. Having said that, this is is the only excuse I can come up with not to give this beer a top score - so that should mean something.

Bottled. Pale golden colour, small white head which disappears quickly. Fruitish hoppy nose. Weak fruity hoppy taste, with bitterness getting stronger in the finish. Leaves mouth sticky.

Bottled. Clear yellow coloured with a white head. Nice hoppy aroma with notes of malts and citrus. Malty flavour with notes of citrus and hops. Dry bitter finish. Not bad, but I prefer Brooklyn lager.

Crisp, fruity. Like the full gold colour, but the rest is lacking. Not indicative of Mr. Oliver’s brewing ability.
