Lots of rustic aromas, and an appropriately sandy brown color in the glass. Wheat, yeast, rye and a little bit of acidic malt. Tasting reveals more malting and a medium caramel finish. Nose is heavily spiced, yeasty, big sweet bready malt. Flavor is spicy up front, with a body that’s big and sweet, bready, with some dark fruit in there as well. Finish is yeasty, slightly off-dry. Moderate malt aromas of light bread, cereal, toasted and caramel, light perfume and dough for the hops and yeast, with notes of red wine, honey and a fruity hint in the background. Head is creamy, white with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy orange/brown. Flavor is moderately sweet and lightly acidic to start, and is moderately sweet and lightly bitter in the finish. Palate is medium, oily and has a soft carbonation. It finishes lightly alcoholic. The head is frothy and off white. The nose is bubblegum, candy, very fruity, estery, sweet and spicy. The flavor is spicy, estery, yeasty, sweet, fruity, bubblegum, warming alcohol. The palate is crisp with a nice carbonation.
