Commercial Description:
This Beer is served on DRAFT and in 750ml BROOKLYN bottles.
In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmaster’s Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish.
Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes.”

Schneider 500ml bottle shared with PaulHegedus. Pours a cloudy amber, looking like fruit nectar, with a foamy white head. Aromas of pineapple, banana, nectarine and peaches in syrup. Flavours of pit fruit (nectarine, apricot, peach, yellow plum) with a pomelo citrus sourness. Body is full, rich stickiness without being chewy. Finish is a long drawn complex affair with a sweet n sour plum sauce aftertaste

Very nice tasting beer.... Has the clean finish of a wheat beer but a distinctive hoppy flavor that highlights the taste... Delicious beer... Recommended

golden with thick white head. moderate/high carbonation. nose of esters and some hops. Flavor has classic clove and banana components from the yeast and is perfectly complemented by a strong, somewhat spicy, hop flavor. a nice dry finish ends this very enjoyable brew. one of the better innovative interpretations of a classical style. really nice

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a giant foamy white head. Aroma is sweet, floral and fruity with some malts coming through as well. I also smell some cloves, banana, lemon, grassiness, bubblegum and wheat. Flavor is spicy. I can taste some bananas and citrus. Flavor is also a little sweet with some nice malty flavor coming through. There is also a bit of sour bite at the end. The mouth feel is kind of acidic and medium in body. This has a lively, highly carbonated feeling. I have always love wheat beers but this is just fantastic. Brooklyn brewery is a favorite for sure. I have loved every beer I have tried from them. A rich and wonderful wheat.

Great combo beer. 2 of the best brewers coming together to make an amazing beer. Fruity flavor with good hop finish. Must have for everyone.

Pour is hazy gold with a big, foamy white head. Nice lacing left behind in the glass. Aroma of lemon, fresh grass, spice and some floral hopping. Flavor is bitter up front partially due to carbonation. Finishes dry, almost too dry for my liking. Medium bodied. Decent beer.

Pours a dull thick cloudy orange with a thick head with great retention. Lovely witbier aroma, cloves and bananas. Love the taste - Sweet alcohol, hops, cloves, tasty! Thick and creamy body, good carbonation. Hops! Grapefruit and citrus! Love this beer.
