Commercial Description:
This Beer is served on DRAFT and in 750ml BROOKLYN bottles.
In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmaster’s Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish.
Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes.”

Slightly cloudy golden straw with a fizzy rocky head. Nice spicey hop aroma with some wheat and grain notes and some citrusy hop aroma. Sweet malt flavor with spicey hop and yeast phenolics of clove and allspice. Nice spicey hop finish with a bit of alchohol warming. I need to get another couple bottles to just to make sure I rated this right :)

Spectacular appearance. Beautiful foggy orange body and delicious creamy head. Attractively appetizing with a strong cool-whip like head. The body is just the same as the head only looks. Beautiful Banana and Clove of the standard Hefe, but a perceptional addition to the standard hefe. Hard citric punch to the back of the tongue.

750 ml bottle. Pours a light cloudy amber with a big fizzy white head. The aroma is mostly hefeweizen, with the familiar banana and cloves, but the undertone of citrusy hops mixes very nicely. The taste is again mostly that of a very good hefeweizen, but the citrusy hops is palpably there and becomes more prominent in the finish as it lingers just a bit longer, mingling very nicely. A solid and unique beer. I really enjoyed this one. I’ll have to stock up on it!

Hazy golden in color, which eventually becomes opaque golden (with yeast) when you get to nearly the bottom of the 750. Aroma- alot of citrus and tropical fruit, with some vanilla, clove and wheat in the background. Taste is hoppy with citrus, mango, but not over the top- light banana, vanilla, clove and wheat make their appearance nicely and relatively in balance. Alcohol well hidden. very nice.

Pours murky golden/brown, with a big foamy white head. Like the previous version it has a huge aroma of fresh grassy/herbal hops, with floral notes, huge fruity esters, and lots of spice. Lots of spicy notes, and huge grassy/herbal hops right upfront. Basically it’s almost identical to the previous, but just slightly more awesome.
