daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Jul 27, 2009 Gold pour. Fluffy white head. Wheat, caramel, fruit, spices, bready notes in the aroma. Flavor is yeasty and has good wheat notes, but it also has a touch of tartness which is damn nice. Very unique. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Jul 27, 2009 2/26/2008: Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pours a cloudy golden color with a foarmy white head that has good retention. The flavor contains rye and is slightly fruity with hints of sourness, mint?, and green hops. Very interesting... Flavors include wheat, yeast, spice, and some warming alcohiol. It is a bit bitter, but balanced and somewhat dry like rye would imparct. It has some acidity as well. It is medium-bodied and feels soft in the mough. This beer is unique and a bit difficult to describe. Overall I like this particular beer better than the Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse version.
Serving: Bottle shared with Tmoney99. Rating #323 for this beer.

Nice bitterness lingers through the palate. Such a huge complexity of flavors. Rich, thick chewy malt with all of its sugar and goodness. Balanced with the "hopf-ed"-up bitterness. This beer is absolutly wonderful. Hops, hops, and dry hopped with hops. I love hops. This beer is good. Rating #2030. rampmaster (314), Alden, New York, USA Jul 20, 2009 Presentation: It was poured from brown 1pint 9.4oz bottle into a weizen glass. I did not notice a freshness date on the bottle.
Appearance: It has a deep hazy orange colored body with lots of visible carbonation. The head is off white in color, tall, thick and creamy. The head is long lasting and makes lots of slick lacing on the glass.
Smell: It has a light pleasant aroma of wheat, a light wisp of clove, subtle fruity yeast and just a very subtle hint of smokiness.
Taste/Mouth Feel: The flavor starts with a big tangy wheat and grain base that adds fruity and spicy yeast notes of banana and clove as well as some citrus notes from the hops. The hops really stand out in the finish which becomes dry and has solid bitterness for the style. It has a full body and the texture is thick and chewy with a heavy well rounded mouth feel. Its carbonation is very active and cleansing on the palate.
Notes: Outstanding!!!
WallyWalrus (205), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jul 16, 2009 For my 200th rating, we return to the old country. 16.9oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark orange with a good white head. Aroma is very fresh and lively, with citrus, hops, spices, breadiness, caramel, and floral notes. Taste is creamy and full, with a sharp but not overwhelming initial flavor of crisp fruit and hoppy citrus gently giving way to a big and flavorful finish of spices, grain, floral notes, and grass. Schneider rocks. TEJA (281), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 11, 2009 Draught at OT. Small head for a weisse. Golden amber color with lots of clowdyness. Loads of banana and some american hops and korriander. Plesant wheat taste with a big hop taste and robust bitterness. After warming up the caramell is much more pronounced.
