Commercial Description:
This Beer is served on DRAFT and in 750ml BROOKLYN bottles.
In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmaster’s Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish.
Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes.”

C&C 750. Props for a very classy looking label and bottle. Hazy yellow with a huge white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Spicy, sweet banana nose, clove and white pepper, light bubblegum. Beautiful sheet of white lace. Wheaty and hoppy flavors dominate - grass, lemon and grapefruit over wheat, spicy clove and pepper, mild banana. Medium body, satiny and bouncy all at once. Sweet grass, apricot and orange finish. Many of these crossover type experiments don’t work, but this one sure as hell does - well done!

This dark golden ale poured with a bubbly off-white head that disappeared immediately. There is a strong citrus hop aroma and a delicious malt flavor with balancing hops and a very crisp feel. This doesn’t taste like wheat beer, it’s a masterpiece.

Nice amber with a nice white head. Aroma is a fairly strong piney hop content, light yeast, light banana and alcohol but hops are dominant. Taste is a light fruitness, with alcohol, and nice hoppiness. Warming.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Very nice aroma - yeasty-strong, alcoholic. Tastes the same, very strong and yeasty, fruity and fresh, the finish is more sourish, scratchy, a bit like wood. Not bad, but I liked the Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse more. Big thanks to jjpm74 for the bottle!

Poured from a 750. Pours a hazy carbonated soft orange. Nice profuse white creamy head. Very nice hoppy aroma, citrusy, mandarin oranges, mellow wheat, lemongrass. The flavor was citrusy, spicy waxy hops, mandarin oranges, wheat, alcohol. Nice carbonation. Waxy and dry with a nice bubbly mouthfeel. Really enjoyed this.

750 ml. Hazy, effervescent amber with a huge creamy head that finally settles down to an inch. Nose is a nice blend of pineapple-banana bubblegum, light wheat, orange-grapefruit and pine resin. Flavor is less sweet than the aroma indicates. Starts with peppery orange-pineapple-grapefruit mixed with honey, then turns to a blend of earthy-spiced peaches and cream of wheat. Finishes with prickly, acidic citrus peel and resin. Wheat, clove and light oak also show up in the long aftertaste. Medium body is creamy smooth and finishes resiny-dry. A nice frosting is left all over the flask.
