Aroma had a great floral note mixed with some good fruit qualities. Flavor seemed to have great balance between the floral notes and fruit notes. There was a good bread presence through out and finish with a sublte sweetness. I really loved the rich floralnotes throughout this beer. SaintMatty (1236), Tallinn, Estonia

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2008 750ml. bottle. Cloudy golden/yellow color with a large white head. Initial sniff brought nothing but bubblegum. Additional whiffs brought out some clove and C-hops as well as a hint of banana. Flavor once again started out being dominated by bubblegum, which almost kept me from finishing my half of the bottle. After the first 4 or 5 sips, a bit of banana emerged, along with some nice hop bitterness. Very aggressive carbonation. Nice and thirst quenching since it was sampled on a hot 95 degree day. I am glad I didn’t stop after only a few ounces as this beer got much better the more I drank. markwise (1200), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA

It had notes of citrus, hops, with emphasis on lemony character. It’s finish was clean and a bit tart. Good beer, I wish it was more readily available. OldMrCrow (1200), Seattle, Washington, USA

This one was a surprise delight. It pours an orange-tinged gold with a nice white head. Nice citrus-and-tropical fruit, tons of tropical fruit -- pineapple, banana, mango, oranges -- in the flavor. ("Rotten tropical fruit," my wife says. Well, maybe on the ripe side, sure. But it’s really nice in my opinion.) Very full flavors, strong and rich, plenty of esters, a strong citrus (Amarillo) flavor in the close. Slightly buttery, modestly sweet. Very drinkable even on a hot day, despite the ABV and powerful flavors. Nice beer! jcr (1182), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2008 750 ml. Hazy medium yellow body below a huge, pillowy off-white head. The aroma is spicy with notes of all-spice and clove. Also notes of orange, citrus, lime and banana. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter and lightly acidic. The finish is moderately bitter and moderately sweet. Medium body and smooth texture with a lively carbonation. Interesting with nice spice flavors along with chewy wheat. Sweet, but not cloying and nicely balanced with the hops. FlssmrBrewAlum (1177), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 18, 2009 750 ml bottle acquired via trade with Beerlando. Thanks! Pours a hazy goldish orangish, light hued, with big offwhite bubbly head, medium hazed, with a head that dies down somewhat. Aromas are dominated by lemony citrus, belgian spicy yeast, estery fruitiness (Banana) mixed with wheaty malts and some notes of a floral hoppiness. Initial is light on the tounge, but definitely not a light beer. Flavors are wheaty malts and grains, balancing fruity esters (Banana, again, largely), belgian yeasty spice, amarillo hops with some grassy feels, and a nice creamy sweetness. Bitterness and sweetness actually work extremely well together. A very well done brew. Look forward to trying the other version, as I hear it is on / will be on at Binnys South Loop. Cheers!
