There is definately hallertau and/or amarillo hops involved here. There’s a bit of mango in the aroma. Flavor is good and citrusy with a flavorful balanced malt and a tamed full hops character. Body is full but light enough to still be enjoyed in the summer. I usually don’t like weizenbocks, but this one is an exception. Its dry on the palate and has a little bit of after fizz like a good weiss should. Goes well with caprese salad under big oak trees in the middle of austin texas yall. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Hazy yellow with huge white head. Intense hop and spice aroma is strong enough to make me cough, but also has delicate pineapple undertones. Taste is intense as well, and singes my palate with cloves and massive amounts of resinous dry hops. Vastly different from the Schneider version. rosenbergh (992), Helsinki, Finland

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Updated: Aug 28, 2009750 bottle corked and caged opened with a loud pop. poured into a weizen glass has a yellow golden hazy color and fairly hefty carbonation. the smell of the sweet dry hops is apparent as it was being poured. schneider banana yeast, honey, aromatic citrus hops, grass, clove, a hit of mango, and pepper. mouth feel is medium but has a great texture. flavor starts peppery, then moves to a banana yeast with floral, honey sweetness, malt, and fantastic hops. the schneider trademark yeast really shines against the wheat and hops side. spiced just right and finishes with sweetness and then turns dry with hop spice and a long duration. lots of flavors to keep your interest, nicely done bottle design, and a quality cork. ajm (965), Los Angeles, California, USA

I have wanted to try this forever and it didn’t disappoint. Full nose of sugar, caramel, wheat, and German yeast. Color was a full yellow-gold. Flavor was like a crusty bread pudding - raisin, more wheat and yeast. Authentically hazy. biznizness (956), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Picked up a growler of this at Shoreline in Huntington NY. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow/gold with a medium foamy white head. Smells of yeast, grain, malt and bananas. Flavor is wheaty, yeasty, grainy with a touch of that barnyard funk. Finish is mild and crisp and hides the strength in the alcohol.
