Wheaty, yeasty, and a hint of banana, but with a uniquely pleasing hoppy bitterness. Not as much of the hop flavor as bitterness, but it worked well. Not worth the price IMO, but if your a wheat locer and a hop lover, then it might very well be. puboflyons (618), New Hampshire, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2009 From the 750 ml bottle with no lot code or bottling/expiration date. Corked top that pops off and travels about 12 feet across my living room. The pour is a slightly clouded orange-amber with a two inch thick puffy white head. A pungent orange peel and clove aroma penetrates the senses. The mouthfeel is bold. From the start this brew comes on strong with a powerful mix of alcohol, citrus, and a dry-hopped ending. A powerful one for sure. CamdenD (617), Madrid, Spain

Beautiful hazy caramel gold color and strong wheat and booze nose. Nice. Taste is slightly astringent, may need some time to mellow in the bottle? Not your normal "summer" wheat. This one would warm up most Munich winter nights. satan165 (611), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2008 cloudy pale yellow. aroma of some tropical fruit like its twin but mingled with floral hops. taste follows suit -- short, dry fruitiness is followed with an IPA level dose of bitterness. the bitterness is also ultra dry, no weizen mouthfeel here. slight yeast in nose is lost in the avalanche of hops on the tongue. first tripel IPAs....now a weizen IPA? this is a good, big beer. far from one dimensional but not nearly as complex as its twin, which i also thought was a much better representation (and interpretation) of a weizen bock. alcohol lingers, burning on the throat, pleasantly. somehow bitterness of this magnitude is more tolerable with the mouthfeel and other characteristics of an IIPA, it grows tiresome as this bottle goes on. however, in the same time span the beer breathes and fruits become more apparent and enjoyable, leading to an eventual balance with the hops. a very thought provoking brew. bleeng (600), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Hazy gold non-filtered. Hoppy nose and almost a "Belgianish" nose. Very carbonated. Yeasty, wheaty, with mild hop undertones. Perfumy. Alcohol very well hidden. NIce beer-almost sessionish.. hirigalzkar (599), Stockholm, Sweden
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Bottle. Hazy golden colour, big white head. Smells sour apple, citrus hops and peppery spices. The taste is yeasty and wheaty at first (with a small sourness), american hops adds some bitterness and vanilla rounds it off. Not super complex, although super good! Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 3, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden orange with a substantial off-white head that retains well. The banana-clove complex is paired beautifully with tropical citrus, aromatic yeast and hop resin in the nose. The flavour is crisp, yet robust and is ripe with wheat, clove, pear, mango and bitter, floral hop flavours. The hoppiness paired with the typical wheat flavours is very intriging. It finishes very dry with surprisingly long palate duration. It has a well matched medium body with effervescent carbonation. emerica56 (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 31, 2008 The color is a cloudy orange with a thick foamy and sudsy head. The nose is nice and sweet with bready malt and bitter sweet hops with some hints of lemon grass. Initially the flavor is nice and tart with lemon and clove with the hops finishing it off. I like how you only get the hop bitterness when you have the beer in your mouth, but after it fades away and all you can taste is clove on your palate. It is a nice and refreshing beer made with quality ingredients.
