Commercial Description:
This Beer is served on DRAFT and in 750ml BROOKLYN bottles.
In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmaster’s Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish.
Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes.”

Schneider 500ml bottle shared with PaulHegedus. Pours a cloudy amber, looking like fruit nectar, with a foamy white head. Aromas of pineapple, banana, nectarine and peaches in syrup. Flavours of pit fruit (nectarine, apricot, peach, yellow plum) with a pomelo citrus sourness. Body is full, rich stickiness without being chewy. Finish is a long drawn complex affair with a sweet n sour plum sauce aftertaste

Hazy golden pour with a beautiful nose of banana, clove, bready yeast, and other fruit influences. Same influence in the flavor with a smooth mouthfeel.

75 cl bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with a nice white foamy head. Wonderful, hoppy, somewhat tropical aroma with citrus, grapefruit, spices, and hint of banana. Flavour is fruity, hoppy and spicy with tropical fruits, citrus, some banana and clove. Nice bitterness in finish. Medium to full bodied. Nice, but lively, carbonation. Very good beer - and I like it more than the Schneider-version though this costs a lot more. Would like to try again.

Bottle. Pours hazy goldenrod with a fluffy white head. The aroma floral and citric hops, a hint of spicyness and yeast as well. The flavor is hop forward but well balanced. Floral and citric hops, light background spices and fruity esters. Very good, but I likes its German brother a bit better.

bomber from G&G after trading kevin an oak aged yeti. pours a cloudy, golden orange with a soft, thick white head. aroma is huge, very refreshing with hints of orange, banana, pumpkin spice, and floral hops. flavor is absolutely unique as far as my tasting has gone. honestly tastes like a great heffe mixed with a great IPA, elementary, i know. the hops stand out up front, but the bitterness is subdued by the wheat and citrus flavors of the heffe. Hints of orange, lemon zest, and pine follow on the back end. mouthfeel is slightly thick, good carbonation, and very easy to drink despite the 8.5%. overall, and outstanding beer from two class breweries.

750 ml bottle. I’ve been looking forward to this beer for a while. Pours cloudy orange with a fluffy white head. Great aroma of superfresh hops, imparting a spicy, earthy, citrusy aroma in addition to the more traditional bread and banana notes. Taste is similar, with really fresh hop character and a distincitive clove/spice quality. Excellent beer. Will definitely have again.

750ml corked and caged from New Beer Distributors, NYC. The label and bottle stamping are so beautifully colored and textured I almost held off opening. Almost. Thick but not angry head with large bubbles. Amber white-ish coloring depending on which end of the bottle you’ve reached. Amazing aromas of camomile flowers, honey, paw-paws. Light on the tongue. It’s a happy beer, bubbling with citrus zest, fresh bread, and marigold flowers. Bit of spiciness in the finish, and a surprising mild but noticeable hop presence.

Buddy and I split a big bottle of this stuff @ hopjacks. Tastes simular, actually exactly like the smaller higher release bottle. The limited release is what makes this stuff expensive. Tart sweet, light fruit candy. Strong orange/lime. Lots of citrus and great color. Flavors are there and in charge this is a good brew.
