Commercial Description:
This Beer is served on DRAFT and in 750ml BROOKLYN bottles.
In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmaster’s Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish.
Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes.”

Bottle @ Hamilton’s. Wow. Pours cloudy gold with a puffy white head and decent lacing. Lemons and wheat, coriander and clove, and a very strong and very nice current of pine and pepper. The taste is beyond great. Clean, crisp, sweet, bitter, citrus, candy; it had it all. The lemon-banana-wheat went so well with the mango-pineapple-grapefruit of the hops I can’t believe this has not been done before. I may have to drink Hamilton’s out of stock.

Cloudy pale body with a large, chunky white head, lasting with sticky lace. Big hoppy nose with sweet basil, spruce, cotton candy, bubblegum, honey and dough. Really nice fresh, raw hop scent. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with banana, hay, basil, oregano, pine, flowers, clove and cotton candy. Medium/full body is soft with moderate carbonation.

1 beer in. Slight bread and spice aroma. After taking a sip of this great beer, your mouth hungers for more. No residual taste or bitterness in this beer. A welcome hop taste occurs as you take a swallow of this beer. In the end, I am amazed at the alcohol content of this beer. No alcohol hotness. Just an easy drinking beer!

Bottle. [thank you, asheft]
Wonderful looks! Light hazy golden with a big, staying, frothy, off-white head. Great duration, lots of bubbles. Sublimely spicy and sweet wheaty aroma. A heavy load of coriander, wheat and lemony edge. Flowery and grassy hops. Fine, creamy mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation. Lovely flavour, lots of wheat sweetness, spicy balance, lightly vinious and a great, super-hoppy finish. Incredibly drinkable and lightly warming.

750 ml cork and caged bottle purchased at Spirits RB. Well after the Schneider-Brooklyner alcohol bomb I wasn’t expecting a lot. Well like lots of other ideas in my life I was way off. This is one fantastic beer. Aroma is excellent with a large citrus hop prescence, lively yeast, slight wheat bread, banana and slight spice, very nice. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a great finish make this one refreshing brew. Flavor has lots of yeast, dough, tropical fruit and citrus. This is one very nice beer Mr. Oliver cheers well done Sir.

On tap in Blowing Rock, NC. Perfect color. Aroma is big on the hops. Fruity, nutty and spicy aroma. Complex to say the least. Initial sip is smooth. German flare: Banana and clove, but not coyingly sweet. Balance by the nuttiness and bite from the hops. The wheaty malt backbone rears it’s head and the dry, clean finish brings it home. No reason to elaborate further. This beer is a winner and I wish it was still around these here parts y’all....
