Pours crystal-clear deep amber body (after carefully decanting) with a half inch of off-white head. Smells estery - banana and nut jump out - with a slight hint of tart fruitiness. Tastes like banana, nut, and clove, with a nice smooth transition to a slightly sour dry bite toward the finish. Aqueous light body with moderate carbonation. Extremely drinkable with nothing but pleasant balanced flavors to compliment the light refreshing body. Probably even better mit hefe - guess I’ll try that on the next bottle. Still one of the best hefeweizens I’ve had.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Bottled, 355ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Hazed gold with white head. Initially rather thinnish and the wheat character is reluctant to show itself, however; on sticking with it there is a clove, corriander spiciness with an estery pear drop note. It remains thin on the palate, but the flavours give it enough interest to make it worthwhile. It’s ok. renffisch (520), london, Greater London, England

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Draft at redlight redlight. A subdued German style wheat. The nose is floral with hints of tropical fruit. The flavor is mild, crisp, and pretty nice. Maybe a little too subdued for advocates of hefeweizens, but as I don’t drink them very often I like it.
