Commercial Description:
This exciting lager is brewed to the exacting standards required by Soil Association Certification Ltd. of the United Kingdom. The lager malt is prepared from Organically grown Scottish barley. The hops are grown in New Zealand where the absence of pests means hops of a very high quality can be grown organically. The pure water comes from the rolling Scottish Border hills. To complete the process a specially selected lager yeast is used and fermentation is carried out at the low temperature of 11°C for a full 14 days. The end result is a premium beer with all the delicate flavours and aromas associated with a Pilsner type lager A refreshing clean tasting beer with an excellent aroma and aftertaste.

Looks good, clean & golden good steady bead, head is a bit thin but it lasts well. Aroma is slightly fruity...not much else to say about that really. Soft malt dominates the palate, hops only noticable with a hint of citrussy fruit on the finish. Overall a fine lager, lacks a bit on the hop front tho. This was bought at Moffat Wine Shop not that far from the brewery( bbe march 2006 if your interested) Label is a bit of a departure for this brewery.

(on bottle) My fav Pale Laer, witch is a style with alot of baaaad beer in it. This is a easydrinkable, full, well hopped lager. Has a hint of cardemmome in the nice malty nose. fat, full motuhfeel and a good carbonation. I´m gonna hit my lager swilling pals with this one for sure.

Golden appearance with a crisp edge to it. After this its all downhill. For an organic beer it tasted quite stale even though well within its use by date. Some traces of flora but really quite a boring beer. I felt quite let down after trying this one.

(Bottle 50 cl) Oddly enough this comes in a bottle of German-/Czech-style. And to add to it’s multinationalism it’s brewed with organic hops from New Zealand! Amber-coloured, slightly hazy, decent head. Fresh and very fruity without much bitterness. Some underlying tartness. Reminds me of a good brewpub-style lager. 010104

Bottle. Gold with good head and condition. Sweet malt in the nose, fruit and malt in the mouth but very little aftertaste.
