Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Medium-bodied, with a subtle hop aroma, on the palate this luxurious beer has a deep, full flavour which balances a toasty maltiness, mild bitterness, and a hint of sweet herbs. It finishes clean and mostly dry, but with a faintly subtle sweetness.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Bitter hints of licorice and caramel. Toasted malt, nutty with some light bitter earth y tones. Decent Ale.

smells nice and fruity with some decent malts, the beer is a little bit of astrignet bitter with a touch of roasted cocoa.

The aroma is sweet with malt, caramel, toast, and fruit. The appearance is medium brown with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is a bit thin. Overall not too impressive but not bad.

The aroma is almost all malt, but in a good way. Some caramel and a bit of wood. Super smooth drinking. Nice amber red color. Hops are spruce and resiny. Very nice. Quite a bit more bitter than I was expecting. There is a taste of just ripe pear and some oak. The finish is nice and long. Alcohol is nicely warming. A very drinkable beer that I’ll be returning to.

Bottle. Pours amber with a creamy light tan head. Aromas of brownly roasted caramel and light floral hop. Medium body with sharp, near creamy carbonation. Not all that hoppy. More malty. Finishes with a touch of lightly cooked fruit. Dryish, but not very bitter. A bit of wood seems to come forth.

Bottle at Highland House. Mahogany with a light brown head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel, roasted, brown sugar, a note of smoke?), light hoppy. Light body. Delicious.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a medium off white head, which collapses to a thin layer, with moderate lacing, over a clear coppery (SRM 15) body.....nose of malts with some toffee, caramel, bit of cereal, minimal hop floral.....taste mild sweet malts to start, with rich grain flavors, finishing with mild lingering hop bitterness.....mouth feel is thick and chewy, carbonation makes for a creamy brew. This meets its style very well, and is quite good.

Reddish black pour. Little caramel, nuttiness in the aroma. Light body with some caramel malt, some citrus.
