Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Medium-bodied, with a subtle hop aroma, on the palate this luxurious beer has a deep, full flavour which balances a toasty maltiness, mild bitterness, and a hint of sweet herbs. It finishes clean and mostly dry, but with a faintly subtle sweetness.

Deep ruby color with a quickly fading head. Some caramel and roasty aromas with a caramel malt flavor that finishes a little dry. The body is a bit thin and overall this is drinkable but not really exciting.

Dark brown with ruby highlights. Head is mountainous and pretty creamy. Falls quickly. Not impressed with this ones "style". Nose is full of clove spicyness, alcohol, orange, toasted malts and a little banana. Great Flavor. Banana, almond, caramel, molasses, coffee, cinnamon, sweet malts, toasted malts and other spices. Somewhat herbal. Very good tasting Doppelbock. I enjoyed this one and would like to revisit it soon.

Very dark brown beer with a thick, fading tan-coloured head. Malty brown sugar and molasses with a bit of acidity. Flavour is quite acidic, slightly lactic character along with a bit of maltiness. Finish is a bit metallic, not great.

Bottle. Reddish brown with a thinnish tan head. Aroma is malty, sweet, roasty and dark fruits. Malty flavour with nice balancing hops. Slight sweetness, a dry finish, with a slight bitter aftertaste. Good beer.

Bottle. Red-brown with nice head. Malty, nutty, fruity (incl. raisins), bitter. Mouthfeel could be better.

Reddish brown in color with a nice lasting tan head. Roasty aroma. Caramel like. Malty rich flavor. I got some smokiness in this beer too. Enjoyable. Well balanced.

Ruby and sparkling - like wine. Notes of grapes, cherries and plums, interesting roastiness and bitterness, fantastic balance. One of the outstanding Broughton ales.
