| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2004 Rather enjoyed this one. Dark, ruby red appearance with a thin mocha colored head. Delectable aroma of raisins, molasses, and candied fruit. Chewy flavor, has some roasted notes in the background with sweet malt accents up front. Cherries, chocolate and bit of citrusy bitterness to it. Palate could be a bit thicker, but not complaining - still a damn good Scottish Ale. jfm (1694), Holbæk, Denmark
