May 26, 2004 Pruney malt aroma. Medium dark, sweet fruity flavor. A longish nut-bitter finish. Sturdy, but not too dense. Very enjoyable.

May 26, 2004 Rather enjoyed this one. Dark, ruby red appearance with a thin mocha colored head. Delectable aroma of raisins, molasses, and candied fruit. Chewy flavor, has some roasted notes in the background with sweet malt accents up front. Cherries, chocolate and bit of citrusy bitterness to it. Palate could be a bit thicker, but not complaining - still a damn good Scottish Ale.

May 13, 2004 Really liked this. Deep copper with a beige head. Nose had hints of caramel, molasses, cirtus. Good, full mouthfeel. Flavor was a great blend of tart and sweet and roasty. Very much enjoyed downing the whole bottle.

Apr 27, 2004 Deep ruby brown. Small light tan head. Sweet nose of caramel, milky, faint grapefruit. Molasses, caramel, robust, buttery, strong medium body, very great mouthfeel. Faint herbal notes, light toastiness, with subtle hops and a dry finish. Very nice.
