Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Medium-bodied, with a subtle hop aroma, on the palate this luxurious beer has a deep, full flavour which balances a toasty maltiness, mild bitterness, and a hint of sweet herbs. It finishes clean and mostly dry, but with a faintly subtle sweetness.

Bottle, Tesco, Helensburgh. Poured a very dark ruby colour with a lightly frothy off white head which dissipated to a slim un’ . Aroma was quite malty with some damson and hazelnut notes. Quite a roasty toasty flava with a dash of urbs. Bitterness was well balanced. Liked this.

Bottle- Dark amber brown with nice clingy foam head. Aroma of sweet malts and mild hops. Caramel and malt body with some roasted bitterness towards the finish. Another that was a little week in the body but a decent drinker overall.

Pours a clear ruby with an off-white head, has a nice foamy head of various sized bubbles, left a generous amount of lacing on the glass, aromas of toasted and dark toasted malt, faint dark malt fruit, some malt sweetness, roasted malt, peat and earthy(?) aromas, toasted malt flavor, malt sweetness with faint caramel, lots of pale malt sweetness, little hop bitterness, is creamy on the palate, a medium mouth feel or a bit more and has a faint sweet stickiness on the palate.

bottle. Nice aroma of malts. Had a robust color for a bitter being a bit darker for the style. Didn’t taste like it looked or smelled...very hoppy taste and was a bit watery. Had a very dry after taste that I didn’t care for but not a bad brew.
