Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Medium-bodied, with a subtle hop aroma, on the palate this luxurious beer has a deep, full flavour which balances a toasty maltiness, mild bitterness, and a hint of sweet herbs. It finishes clean and mostly dry, but with a faintly subtle sweetness.

An amber beer with a light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of smoke. The flavor is of a good malt blend with hints of roasted malts.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark, mahogany-red with a thick creamy, light-brownish head. Nice caramel in the nose lasting all the way through to the aroma. But a very dry caramel, the sweetness is very limited. The bitterness is much more pronounced - with the hops underlying all the way through. Lots of lovely fruity esters. Nice one. 030105

Sampled cask conditioned. Dark. Rather full bodied and buttery with low bitterness, and Broughton’s typical sweetish-fruity house character.

Bottled@Poirotti’s Skotoberfest 2007. Very much ruby red colour with a beigeish mediumsized creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts along with some flowery hops and grass. Flavour is grassy hops along with some wood and slight nectary notes for the sweetness. A very mouthdrying beer.
