Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
This exceptional ale is brewed to the exacting standards required by the Soil Association Certification Ltd. of the United Kingdom. The malt is prepared from Organically grown Scottish barley. The hops are grown in New Zealand where the absence of pests means high quality hops can be grown organically. The pure water comes from the rolling Scottish Border hills. The end result is a light golden coloured beer full of flavour and aroma. A refreshing clean tasting beer with an excellent hop aroma and aftertaste.

Light coppery colored, medium sized white head. Flowers, caramel, lemon and hoppy bitterness in aroma, still not very rich one. Medium bodied. Flavor is somehow watery with lemon and mild flowery tones, some tangy metallic sourness also there. Aftertaste has bittern hops and lemon. One-dimensional.

500 ml bottle. Deep golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. Cereal, caramel, floral, and lightly spicy aroma. Light cereal fades to a jumbled, lingering, perfumy, alcohol, and fruity bitterness that "borders" on unpleasant. Light to medium bodied, slightly oily and prickly mouthfeel. Misses the mark for me.

Bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits in Halifax. Crisp yello body with a fluffy good sized white head (3+). Grassy aroma is mild. Pleasant bitterness and mild malt with light bitterness in the flavour. Average palate. It won’t knock your socks off but it is quite quaffable.

M&S Bottled Organic Ale. Pours dark golden with lots of bubbles and a good creamy white head. Malty aroma with hay, citrus and sweetness. Taste is good, with some fruityness and only limited sweetness - ends on a quite bitter note.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 7 Oct) Golden yellow colour with white head. Fruity nose with citrus, some grapefruit and mandarin. Fruity taste with mandarin, orange, dried apricots and a spicy hoppy bitterness in the finish. Nice hop character, but fairly one-dimensional.

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear golden. Heavily papery nose. Sweetish and medium bodied with loads of cardboard. The low hop rate leaves a lot space for the malt flavour. Sadly that consists entitrely of mashed paper and cardboard. A beer for the paper recycling.

Bottled. Clear golden in colour. A big foamy and fluffy white head lacings. The aroma is malty with some cereals as well. The flavour is malty with a bitterness to it as well. It is wood like and there are some hops in the aftertaste as well. Nice.
