Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water; Malted Barley; Hops.
A blend of two beers: A strong ale, warming and malty, combined with a Porter style ale with rich roasted malt characters on a background of good hop flavour and aroma. The two beers are brewed and fermented separately then blended together in a warm conditioning vessel to allow the two ales to mature.

Dark brown beer with small beige head. Aroma is complex and there are some sweetness, roasted malts, redberries and hint of sourness. Flavour is quite simple after nice aroma: malty, slightly roasted and quite dry. Quite easy and light to drink but still nice. Aroma was promised something special but flavour was quite simple and not-characteristic. Worth to try but propably I don’t buy this anymore.

Bottled. Warm spiciness and some herbs in the sour chocolate aroma. Taste sour, a good balance and some licorice. Very enjoyable indeed, but the finish could be longer.

500 ml bottle. Opaque brown color, low tan head. Metallic aroma with some roasted malts. Chocolaty flavor with some sour notes. Low carbonation, medium-light body. Quite boring and watery.

Dark fruity and bready aroma. Flavor is dark fruits, bread, sugar and some mild hops also. Low bitterness. Quite thin, even watery palate.

500 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown colour, medium-sized light brown head. Aroma is rather sweet, with roasted malts and dark fruits. Sweet roasted malts and some fruitiness in the flavour. OK, but there’s room for improvement.

(Bottled) Very dark ruby brown with a medium, firm and tanned, mostly fading head. Toffee-caramely aroma with some strawberries and dark fruit. Flavor of caramely, lightly roasted maltiness, dark fruit, low bitterness, hints of blackberry, slightly metallic finish. Medium-bodied, slicky palate, medium carbonation. Clearly some effort has been put into this, but the result is still quite dull and boring. I wonder why there are pictures of hops in the label, as I couldn’t find any inside...

Clear dark amber brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark berry. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (180508)
