May 7, 2005 Bottle from Moffat Wine Shop. Dark copper colour with a good white head leaving delicate lacework. Good body, typical for an 80/-, sweetish,malty,caramel on the nose, fruity hops lurking in the background, a good long finish, perhaps not the best 80/- but a damn fine example...look for it!

Oct 22, 2009 Medium beige head. Brown body with carbonation. Harmonic fruity roasty straw and earth aroma with cinnamon and chocolate notes. Dry-sweetish roasty spicy caramelly taste with wooden cinnamon notes. Fizzy, sharpish mouthfeel. Mid-to-full body. Dry roasty cinnamon aftertaste with earthy peppery notes. Nice and drinkable. Jan 27, 2006 Bottle. Very malty aroma with a little brown sugar and a hint of flowery hops. Clear dark brown colour, stable head. Very malty flavour that unfortunately has a slightly sharp bitterness. Liquorice aftertaste.

Fruity and slightly sweet aroma. Some carbonation. Mid brown coloured fruity and a little sweet on the palate with a crisp and slightly bitter full malt finish.

Nov 28, 2004 Bottled. Dark red and brown in colour. Aromas are malty, chocolate and caramel with sweet and sour notes. Oddly some warm milk with dry hops. Flavours are malty with the same fruity sweet and sour character. Chocolate malts are followed by bitter hops. Has a good gentle sparkle. Not too impressive on the finish - just more fruitiness. Pretty decent.
