Bottled. Clear red coloured with a medium sized off white head. Sweet aroma of apples, malts and caramel. Flavour of malts, caramel apples and hops. Hoppy finish.

HEavy, if you know what I mean, it was very heavy, but a little booring. I thought it would be more like sour. BUt is nice.

I have fond memories of this beer, and while it looks good and holds its head well, I have to admit, it’s not the classic I remember it to be. Palate is average, and is well balanced, but it is sadly lacking in any character, a shame as most other brews from Broughton are to be highly recommended. Bottle from Co-op £1.75.

bottled, from Fête de la Bière 2005, Lausanne - pours a clear rd-amber colour, the initial foam quickly reduces, the aroma is deceptively discrete with just a hint of malt and red berries going through the limit of perception, a touch of sweetness, a rather high carbonation and an honorable bitterness, the finish is dry, short with a light flowery hoppiness - deeply unexciting

[bottle from peckhams] pours a copper/brown colour, minimal head. nose in non-descript matly with some hops, perhaps caramel with some grassyness. body is very weak, pretty non existent finish.

Amber colour with a small beige head. Malty aroma with a weak fruity note. Watery taste with only faint hints of some sweet malts.

Bottle. Amber color with an off white head. Goes down well enough but I wouldn’t call it a memorable brew.
