ChristianScheffel (4402), Odense, Denmark Jul 29, 2009 Amber with a lasting off-white head, leaving lace. Aroma of toffee and malt with a faint roasted note. Dry and malty flavour, slightly roasted and with a little fruit hughie (3016), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Mar 15, 2009 Bottle. Cloudy orange with a white head. Faint malt aroma, developing some caramel. Malty taste, slightly glue-like, with a mid bitter finish. My enjoyment of this beer was probably heightened by the fact that while consuming it, I was watching England giving the French a sound thrashing at Twickenham. chriso (4665), London, Greater London, England Aug 11, 2008 Cask (handpump) at the Old Mitre, Holborn. Brewed specially for their Scottish beer festival according to the landlord. Rich reddish colour. Quite a depth of malt but nicely balanced with some tangy hops. Fairly full flavoured and full bodied. Pretty decent stuff.
