I thought it had a chocolaty flavor at first but then was just a sort of cake aroma. Not a stunning appearance.

Not a fan of the aroma, average appearence, nothing special, weak taste, I honestly expected more here.

Bottle. Hazed gold with a medium off-white head. Nose is earthy hops, light flowery notes, light grassy notes, and thinned notes of angel food cake. Taste is grassy and hoppy with sweet malts and some earthiness. Light fruit notes and minimal bitterness. Body is light and leaning towards being creamy. Finish is dried fruit, light bitter hops, a pleasant earthiness and creamy malts.

Pours golden yellow with a very lacy, rocky eggwhite head. Smells of herbal hops with grassy malt. Grassy malt in the mouth followed by a low level bitter hoppiness (Fuggles?). Lemony. Finish is clean but short. Crisp mouth. A satisfying beer and well balanced if not particularly distinguishing.

Fruity with a subtle bitterness.Although I didn’t warm to it at first after a while I realised that this is a well balanced and gentle bitter.
