Toasted light bread, grain malt (L); herb hops (L); light, fruity esters. Tall, foamy, white head is quickly diminishing to a skim on a medium orange-amber body that has a slight haze. Lightly sweet flavor becomes a lightly bitter, lightly acidic, husky finish. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: too grainy/husky. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 15, 2004 This is very different than what I was expecting. Pours a light golden color that is slightly cloudy in appearance. A fastly fading head, with little to no lacing. The taste is slightly acidic and light, but still crisp and refreshing. Nicely balanced, and refreshing. DrBeer (777), Danderyd Stockholm, Sweden

Roasted flavor with a bit of maltiness and hoppy, bitter tones.
Pretty standard. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 28, 2003 Medium amber with an off-white head that left good lacing. Not much aroma here, but the flavor has a nice balance of caramel and crystal malts combined with floral hops that make it a very drinkable beer. Some fruity overtones. mribm (419), Hurley, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 7, 2003 500 ml. bottle. This was a rather bland bitter. A disappointment from this brewer, which has some good beers in its lineup. The ABV was weak and so was the flavor. This would appeal to somebody trying to kick the nasty Budweiser habit. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 2, 2003 A bit overcarbonated, this ale has a pleasant golden color. I thought it was a little light on the hops for style but I liked the sweet maltiness. A good session beer. hotstuff (3180), Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2003 Best Before Oct 03. The appearance was a small sized ivory head that had mostly lasting fine-small sized bubbles. The body had lively carbonation, clear and a golden hue. The nose was sweet, apples and apricots with a light bitter taste and some acidity. The palate was very smooth, creamy, watery and thin. It was a light bodied beer with good lacing. Nothing real special about this beer, but it was very drinkable.
