Coloração âmbar-clara, creme pouco denso e consistente. O que agrada nessa breja é o sabor (que segue o aroma) de lúpulo e malte levemente torrados. Corpo médio, final longo e levemente amargo. Nada demais, mas ótima drinkability. O rótulo, com o Merlin barbudão, é um barato.

Nothing special on the nose or appearence, but things quickly brighten up in the mouth. A crispness of spring flowers and fresh butter that is quite unique. Hops quickly follow but never overpower. A light delight that lacks body around its solid core.

Light grainy malt paired with grainy hops... light brownish orange body with thin off-white head in a HopDevil Nonick...indeed a bitter, as some reviews have already cleared up...lightly carbonated, medium bodied, medium dry texture...lightly bitter initially; mellow finish...pleasant and well within its genre... a smooth way to return to work after the holiday break...clean, swift finish makes this a pub fare companion, but not quite a session bear woth detailing intricately....

Bottle: Cloudy almost tangerine appearance. Has a bizarre aroma, almost mustard like. Malty, a bit of caramel & a little sour. Kind of like a beer best consumed by 01/2006...hmmm...

BJCP guidelines have this listed as a classic commercial example of a Scottish Export. It just doesn’t fit those guidelines even remotely, and is more correctly thought of as a bitter. As it is listed here. In any case, sampled as part of a BJCP training session. Medium gold, decent head. Aroma was hoppy with earth, hay, and faint citrus. Flavor was dominated by earthy hops with some floral notes. A quite decent bitter.

Clear golden body with a small off-white head. Sweet floral and grassy hop aroma with light caramel. Sweet caramel and floral and grassy hops. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Fairly smooth finish.
