O que agrada nessa breja é o sabor (que segue o aroma) de lúpulo e malte levemente torrados. Corpo médio, final longo e levemente amargo. Nada demais, mas ótima drinkability. O rótulo, com o Merlin barbudão, é um barato. Powertrip (193), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

A crispness of spring flowers and fresh butter that is quite unique. Hops quickly follow but never overpower. A light delight that lacks body around its solid core.

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 27, 2007 Bottle: Cloudy almost tangerine appearance. Has a bizarre aroma, almost mustard like. Malty, a bit of caramel & a little sour. Kind of like a beer best consumed by 01/2006...hmmm... Kinz (2206), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2007 BJCP guidelines have this listed as a classic commercial example of a Scottish Export. It just doesn’t fit those guidelines even remotely, and is more correctly thought of as a bitter. As it is listed here. In any case, sampled as part of a BJCP training session. Medium gold, decent head. Aroma was hoppy with earth, hay, and faint citrus. Flavor was dominated by earthy hops with some floral notes. A quite decent bitter. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
